Working Poverty of the Youth
In 2018, around 250 millions African workers were living in moderate or extreme poverty. In 2015, two in three young African workers were living on less than US$2 a day. Working poverty among the youth in Africa remains a problem even today.
Girls and women in Africa, like in many other parts of the world, have limited access to education, training, resources and decent employment opportunities. The Informal sector is the only professional option for the majority of them.
